There is Hellfire

The painting, made of acrylics, tells the story of a mage (an individual with an affinity to magic) challenging the oppressiveness of the High Court. I began the painting by sketching the pillars and mage, but not the cave, because it wasn't planned; but then, I found an image of a cave collapsing around pillars that were encircling an artifact. The picture inspired me to paint a live fire inside a cave as it could give the viewer a sense of hidden power, a message I wanted to tell.
