In my piece I used acrylic paint to portray a black and white self-portrait, wearing clown paint. When I was younger I grew up in a very religious house with limited ability to express myself. The constant struggle to conform to an almost Puritan lifestyle left me drained of all colors. This only lead to me struggling with my identity and constantly trying to express myself without being “Painted as the Problem”.
